You Can Master Emotions!

Special Guest: Ilene Dillon

  • Sunday, September 27, 2020 | 10 - 11:30 am

We l live with them 24/7, 365 days a year: from birth, to death. Emotions.

Yet, most of us are not always good at working with them — our own or other peoples. Why is this?

Because we've never learned answers to questions like these:

  • Why do we have emotions?

  • What are they designed to do?

  • Can we get rid of them? If so, how?

Ilene Dillon, MSW, is a Recovered Angry Person who made it her mission in life to find the answers. She has also worked 50 years as a California Marriage and Family Therapist and Psychotherapist, which has deepened and enriched her understanding of how to develop Emotional Mastery. Author of Emotions in Motion), a global speaker, and workshop leader.

Now, at 77-year-old, Ilene roams the US and Canada, full time, in her 24-foot RV.  http://emotionalmasteryforlife.com/

The benefits of true questions

Special Guest: Corinna Stoeffl

In life, we are deeply habituated to ask ourselves questions in order to get answers. Are the questions you’re asking yourself fully supporting your journaling aspirations?

In her fascinating presentation, Corinna will look at different kinds of questions and the results they deliver. You might be surprised at the perspectives she offers. She will give you a greater understanding of true questions and how these will support your journaling experiences.

Corinna will provide plenty of time for us to have an in-depth conversation about the different types of questions. What awarenesses can we all together come to?

Skillfully using questions, Corinna empowers you to get out of the story and to find what is actually true for YOU.

Deeply caring about her clients, Corinna has no judgment or expectations of them as a person or their life. Her aim is to support the client in ... developing their authentic self and finding out what kind of life they would like to live, apart from everybody else's ideas of what should be. In addition, she supports clients individually in changing what does not work in their lives. She adds to that by writing articles for her blog as well as magazines, has a free online community and facilitates workshops that leave participants happy with the results.

 Choose your perspective

Special Guest: Samantha Jung-Fielding

  • Wednesday, September 30, 2020 | 7 - 8:30 pm

“Why is it important to choose your perspective? Samantha Jung-Fielding works with behavioral triggers and specializes in habit change. Although there’s a clear connection between thinking and feeling, few people understand just how heavily this impacts on their behavior. Maybe it’s because much of the process happens unconsciously, with some people spending up to 95% of their day on auto-pilot! When you learn how to choose your perspective, you put yourself back in control. This simple fact allows you to direct your behaviour, thereby creating more of the positive results you desire in your world.”

Osteopath, Pain Care Educator and therapeutic yoga, Pilates and Somatics teacher Colleen will guide us through building resilience through the vagal system.  Her specialty is to help those living with chronic pain but these tools are helpful for everyone, at all stages of life.

By building resilience, we teach the nervous system to respond, rather than react, to life’s challenges.  Learning to create balance in the vagal system helps with pain, anxiety, the immune system, and general health & wellbeing.

Colleen will guide us through simple practices you can easily do yourself.  These practices are a quick way to bring the body into a parasympathetic state and over time help improve vagal tone, which we’ll discuss!  Combined with Jill’s journaling techniques for building resiliency, you will leave this workshop armed with several, easy-to-use and effective tools.
